Will a No-Scalpel Vasectomy hurt?

On the day of your procedure you may wish to take paracetamol prior to your appointment. Some men feel this helps with any immediate discomfort post procedure. If you are anxious, see you GP for a mild sedative to take an hour and a half before your procedure. In addition to this, a local anaesthetic is injected into the skin of the scrotum to numb the area. During the injection you will feel some discomfort, but as soon as the anaesthetic takes effect, you should feel no pain. After the procedure, you may be sore for a few days which can be helped through taking mild painkillers. The No-Scalpel Vasectomy technique causes significantly less discomfort compared to the traditional method.
