May also works in the community and specialist education settings to support children with eating and drinking difficulties. May enjoys working as part of a Multidisciplinary Team to support the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

It’s really an honour to spend time understanding a child or young person’s neurodiversity. I work in the core Provide Speech and Language Therapy and have over 10 year experience working with neurodiverse types such as Autism, ADHD, Epilepsy, Developmental Language Disorder and Learning Difficulties. I have worked across Essex, London and in the Middle East with a range of cultures and settings.
Shahzad Aslam
Consultant Paediatrician
Dr Shahzad Aslam is a Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician with over 20 years of clinical experience in NHS. He specialises in assessments of children and young people with Autism, ADHD, tics/ Tourette’s syndrome, Dyspraxia (DCD); Sleep Disorders and medical treatment for ADHD
He has worked for the NHS since 2004. Over the last two decades, Dr Aslam has worked at several NHS Trust hospitals, and gained extensive experience in neurology, neurodisability and neurorehabilitation. In his role in NHS, he manages ADHD, Autism, Sleep disorders, Cerebral Palsy, developmental issues and behavioural disorders. He also works closely with children with special educational needs, providing medical advice and education and health care plans.
