Pricing & payment terms

The cost of Autism, ADHD, combined assessments and medication titration depends on how you access the service.

This page explains:

  • when services are NHS-funded
  • when self-pay fees apply
  • what is and is not included in each route

If you’re unsure which pathway applies to you, you may find it helpful to visit:

Our assessment pathways

NHS-funded services

Some Autism and ADHD services at Provide Wellbeing are funded by the NHS.

When NHS funding applies

You will not be charged if:

  • you are referred by your GP and accepted by Provide Wellbeing through an active NHS local pathway, or
  • you are referred under the NHS Right to Choose scheme (once a qualifying contract is live)

NHS-funded services are:

  • fully funded
  • provided under a specific NHS contract
  • limited to what is included in that contract

What NHS funding includes

Depending on the pathway, NHS-funded care may include:

  • diagnostic assessment
  • post-diagnostic advice and signposting
  • psychoeducation (where commissioned)
  • ADHD medication initiation and monitoring (where commissioned)

The exact offer varies by Integrated Care Board (ICB) and pathway.

Self-pay assessments

Self-pay assessments are available if:

  • you are not eligible for an NHS-funded pathway
  • you prefer not to wait
  • you want to access an assessment privately

Self-pay routes:

  • do not require a GP referral
  • are available for children, young people, and adults
  • follow the same clinical standards and NICE guidance as NHS services

Self-Pay Pricing

For some appointments, payment is required upon booking. For others, the full fee is required 7-10 days prior to the appointment. Payment can be made by debit or credit card (excluding American Express) or bank transfer (at least 3 working days in advance).

Self-pay assessments

For self-pay assessments:

  • private prescribing or ongoing private psychiatric care may incur additional costs (see prices above)
  • once you, your child/young person is stable on the medication, we will initiate a shared care agreement with the GP. However NHS prescribing depends on GP agreement and local NHS arrangements

These arrangements will always be discussed clearly before any decisions are made.

Reports, letters & additional requests

Your assessment fee (NHS or self-pay) includes a full diagnostic report.

Additional requests — such as:

  • additional appointments outside the agreed pathway may incur a charge. We will always confirm this with you before proceeding.
