Using your report: schools, GPs & work place support
Clear communication is an essential part of neurodevelopmental care.
This page explains how assessment outcomes are shared and how reports can be used to support education, healthcare, and planning.
Your assessment report
After your assessment, you will receive a written report that includes:
- assessment methods used
- outcomes or diagnoses
- explanation of findings
- recommendations and next steps
An assessment report can be used to support you or your child/young person, from securing adjustments in the classroom to informing workplace health.
Sharing reports with your GP
Upon request:
- reports are shared with your GP
- this supports continuity of care
- it helps GPs understand recommendations and next steps
GPs may use the report to:
- update medical records
- support referrals
- consider shared care arrangements (for ADHD)
Using reports in education
Assessment reports can support:
- school or college planning
- discussions about reasonable adjustments
- Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) requests or reviews
Reports are structured to:
- explain needs clearly
- support evidence-based planning
- be suitable for submission to local authorities
While our assessments follow NICE guidelines and are widely used by schools and healthcare providers, we would advise families to contact their Local Authority directly to confirm whether a privately funded assessment will be recognised in their specific circumstances.
EHCPs support
We understand that the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process can be daunting. While our reports provide the professional clinical evidence required for an EHCP application, the final decision rests with the Local Authority. Our reports are specifically structured to highlight ‘Needs and Provisions’ to give your application the strongest possible clinical foundation.
An assessment report:
- does not automatically lead to an EHCP
- can be used as supporting evidence if an EHCP is requested
Local authorities make EHCP decisions independently.
Employers and adult support
If you are an adult in employment, your report can be used to support an Access to Work application, which can provide government funding for specialist equipment, software, or coaching. Please note we can’t provide any additional information except your report.
For adults, reports may also be used to:
- support workplace adjustments
- inform occupational health discussions
- help explain needs to employers or training providers
