OUR AUTISM & ADHD SERVICES
Our ADHD & Autism Assessment Pathways
At Provide Wellbeing, Autism, ADHD and combined assessments are delivered through different pathways, depending on how services are commissioned by the NHS or whether you choose to self-pay. We are working on adding even more options to our assessment pathways, and you can browse our current and future options below.
If you aren’t sure which one is right for you, use our How to Access Our Services as a guide to find your eligible route.

NHS Local Pathways
Local NHS pathways are services commissioned by a specific Integrated Care Board (ICB).
They are only available to patients registered with a GP and live in that area.
Important to know:
- Referrals must come directly from your GP
- Self-referrals are not accepted
- Services are fully funded by the NHS
- Each local contract defines exactly which assessments and follow-up supports (such as medication or psychoeducation) are included
Our current local pathways:
- Mid & South Essex Local Pathway
Status: Active
NHS-funded Autism, ADHD, and combined assessments for children and young people registered with a GP and living in Mid & South Essex.
NHS Right to Choose Pathways
Status: Not currently open
The NHS Right to Choose allows patients in England to choose an NHS-approved provider for certain services, but only once the provider holds a qualifying NHS contract. We are working hard to prepare for launch of these contracts. We recommend checking this page regularly for status updates.
At present:
- We are not yet accepting Right to Choose referrals
Once live, Right to Choose pathways will allow eligible patients to be referred by their GP under national NHS rules.
What all pathways have in common
No matter which pathway you use, our assessments are:
- Delivered in line with NICE guidance
