Introducing Autism and ADHD
Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as other conditions, come under the umbrella term ‘Neurodevelopmental Disorders’.
Autism is often referred to as a spectrum due to the vast and dynamic condition it describes. It can affect children in very different ways, and the profile of a person’s strengths and difficulties, often with social interactions and communication, will vary greatly.
ADHD, like Autism, affects people in very different ways and levels of severity. ADHD is a lifelong condition which may present with inattentive and/or hyperactive-impulsive behaviours that impact on a person’s daily life.
