With a career spanning over two decades, I bring a wealth of experience and passion for supporting children, young people, and families. I began my journey as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in 1996, working in both community settings and a paediatric hospital. This foundation in nursing inspired me to pursue a specialization in school nursing, culminating in the completion of my degree and qualification as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse. It was during this time that I developed a deep interest in neurodiversity and its impact on children and families.
Building on this passion, I transitioned into a role within a community paediatric service in the NHS, where I have been a Specialist ADHD Nurse for the past nine years. In this role, I have further honed my expertise, including training in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) for assessing children with potential autism spectrum conditions.
I am deeply committed to my work, finding fulfillment in supporting, assessing, and empowering children, young people, and their families to navigate the challenges they face and achieve their potential. My practice is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of those I serve.
