An update on the recent announcement for changes to NHS Right to Choose

We understand that recent updates regarding the NHS Right to Choose pathway, including the information shared by ADHD UK, may be concerning.

At this time, we have not received formal guidance on how these changes will impact our services. Until we are advised otherwise, we want to reassure you that we will continue to operate as normal, processing referrals as per our existing assessment processes.

As soon as we receive further information, we will contact our patients directly to provide clarity on the next steps. In the meantime, we remain committed to delivering the highest standard of care and support and will continue to do so.

Our current waiting times

We know how important timely access to assessments is for our patients and their families.

Our current estimated wait times for ADHD and autism assessments, as of February 2025, are as follows:

  • Right to Choose Autism (Children) – approximately 5 to 6 months from receipt of all required documentation and a GP referral.
  • Right to Choose ADHD (Adults) – approximately 4 to 5 months from receipt of all required documentation and a GP referral.
  • Self-Pay Assessments – these are typically available within 2 to 6 weeks from receipt of all required documentation.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding, and we will provide further updates as soon as we have more information.

If you have any immediate questions, our team is here to help. Please contact us by emailing hello@providewellbeing.co.uk or calling 0300 303 9966.
