Teaching children to swallow pills

Collaboratively, Health Education England elearning for healthcare, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, and Great North Children’s Hospital have joined forces to create “Kidzmed.” This e-learning initiative is tailored for members of the multidisciplinary team, focusing on instructing children and young individuals in the skill of pill swallowing. Kidzmed aims to teach children and young individuals how to swallow pills through engaging online modules. The program covers essential aspects of medication use, including swallowing techniques, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence. Kidzmed serves as a valuable resource to enhance health literacy and promote effective medication management skills in the pediatric population, offering interactive and informative content.
