At Provide Wellbeing, we can carry out ASD assessments for children who are between the ages of two and 18 years and 364 days old at the time the referral is received from the GP.
You can provide us with a copy of a recent school report. However, this will only be considered suitable for triage if there is adequate information to determine whether an assessment is appropriate. If this is not the case, our clinicians will need to await completion of the school forms when they reopen.
After the ASD assessment, if the consultant cannot be sure of a diagnosis of autism, you may be referred to further specialists. Alternatively, your consultant may conclude that your child does not have autism but may potentially have another condition.

Our team of clinicians will focus on four modules during the ASD assessment, consisting of various structured activities and less structured interactions, all of which will be tailored to your child’s particular level. A comprehensive diagnostic report will also be produced, which you may choose to share with the relevant educational and healthcare authorities if it recommends additional support.

The ASD assessment will take approximately 2 hours, with time for the assessment, followed by initial feedback and a discussion with the parents or carers. This will also be followed with a written report with detailed findings and support recommendations.

Our specialist team of Paediatricians, Speech and Language Therapists, and Occupational Therapists will conduct the ASD assessment. The team will consider a wide range of factors and discuss the outcome of the assessment alongside the information gathered from the parent and the child’s place of education.
